Westslope Cutthroat Trout
Synopsis: Westlsope Cutthroat Trout, like other species of Cutthroat Trout, is well studied in regards to climate change. While the species is somewhat susceptible to the direct impacts of warming, it is especially vulnerable to climate-driven expansions of invasive trout like non-native Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, and Brown Trout. Populations in the Missouri River basin are especially imperiled due to isolated populations and low genetic diversity.
