Synopsis: The Colorado Sculpin was only recently described as distinct from Mottled Sculpin (C. bairdii). Like other sculpin, it prefers cold, clear streams and is not well suited to migrate upstream as streams warm. In a follow-up study, we confirmed that the species is declining in Wyoming due to warming temperatures.
